Welcome to Uni Kebab, Southampton’s longest-standing family-run Turkish restaurant, proudly serving our community for over 15 years.
Our story began in 2010, when we took over a small 8-seater Turkish takeaway on Burgess Road. With big dreams and a passion for real, homemade Turkish food, we worked hard to turn that humble space into something special. Today, Uni Kebab is a vibrant, modern 100-seater restaurant, loved for its authentic flavours, warm hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere.
Our head chef and owner brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in Turkish cuisine, rooted in family tradition. Every dish is prepared in-house using halal ingredients and time-honoured recipes — from our smoky charcoal-grilled meats and fresh salads to handmade baklava. Step into Uni Kebab and feel instantly at home. Our warm, welcoming interior is filled with the comforting aroma of Turkish cuisine from our open kitchen, where every dish is prepared fresh and by hand. The soft lighting, intimate booth seating, and thoughtful layout create a cosy setting that’s perfect for couples, families, and celebrations of any size.
We’ve recently extended our space with a beautifully built pergola area — a semi-outdoor retreat where large windows and a retractable roof let in the fresh air and natural light. On warmer evenings, the roof opens fully so guests can enjoy dinner under the stars, adding a magical touch to the experience.
Whether you’re joining us for a relaxed weekday meal or a weekend gathering with friends, we have tables to suit every occasion. And on weekend evenings, live music fills the back of the restaurant, bringing a warm, vibrant energy that completes the Uni Kebab experience.

Yes, Our food is Halal and homemade.
Do you have Gluten Free kebab?
Yes! All of our kebabs, including our doners, are gluten-free. We butcher and hand-make everything in-house to ensure top quality and complete control over the ingredients—so we know exactly what goes into every item.
If you’re avoiding gluten, just let your server know. Our chefs will be happy to customize your meal by removing bread and any non-gluten-free sides to ensure your dish is completely gluten-free. Take a look at our menu here.
Does Uni Kebab have Vegan and vegetarian options?
Yes! At Uni Kebab, we offer a wide variety of delicious vegetarian options that are popular with many of our customers. While our current vegan choices are more limited, we're actively working to expand our vegan menu to provide even more tasty plant-based options in the near future. Stay tuned!

Yes, however we cannot guarantee that there will be availability depending on your group size or how long the waiting time may be.

What days are your live music evenings?
We host live music is every Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 6pm, bringing a warm and lively atmosphere to your dining experience. Booking is highly recommended as it's very popular.
Does Uni Kebab offer Delivery?

Do you serve breakfast/ Brunch options?
We don't currently serve breakfast, but it's coming soon! We're working on something special so stay tuned for updates.
Is Uni Kebab family friendly?
Absolutely! Uni Kebab is a family run restaurant, our friendly team make it easy for families to feel at home. High chairs and family sized tables are available and we're always happy to accommodate
Is there disabled access?
Yes, Uni Kebab is accessible to all. You can request a wheelchair accessible table for more comfortable seating when booking your table.

Is there Parking nearby?
Yes, there is free street parking directly in front of the restaurant but it has time restrictions.
Does Uni Kebab serve alcohol?
Nope, and honestly we don't need it - we are all about the food. We're a fully Halal restaurant and we don't allow alcoholic drinks to be brought onto site. We do offer some non alcoholic refreshing Mocktails -Trust us we don't need alcohol to get the party started! with our Delicious food and great vibes you'll be enjoying your meal with a smile.
Are dogs allowed onsite?
While we love our furry friends unfortunately Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant - with the exception of service Dogs.
Is smoking allowed on the terrace?
We are a non-smoking restaurant.
What is the dress code?
Casual and comfortable. Whether you're dressed up for a night out or coming in for a relaxed meal, you're welcome just as you are. We want all our guests to feel at home.
